Erase all data from a laptop?

How can I delete everything as if I were buying the laptop from scratch.

"Resetting" to the factory settings does not provide any security!

Simply resetting is not enough.

To safely reset a data carrier, proceed as follows:

Download Mini Tool Partition Wizars iso

Download Rufus

Any USB stick with a few GB

Then install the Iso on the stick with Rufus and then boot the computer from the stick. The USB stick and your internal disk should then be displayed in the Partition Wizard. There you choose the internal disk and then on the left aur "Wipe Disk". There you choose that the disk should be overwritten with 0 or 1, you can choose. Then click apply at the top left and you're done.

This guarantees you a secure deletion of ALL data on the data carrier. A simple reset is not enough and can be easily restored.
