Bank requests payment cards when transferring from England to Germany so that they can transfer?

I recently sold my laptop to a man from England.

Now I have already sent the laptop and the bank from him (lloyds.bankcareline) said I first have to pay him 900 euro as a gift card so that they can complete the transfer. That's not normal, is it?

Please help or answer if this can actually be the case. I didn't find anything on the internet and the bank actually seems to exist.

You cheated on a fraudster. Did you send the laptop without receiving the money? Oh man… Try verifying the name and address of the guy, have fun. I hope you learned something from it, the gravel is gone. Useless ad.

Gu

What can / should I do now?

Pa

Nothing can do. You don't send goods, especially not abroad, without having received any money, and what are international transfers and PayPal for? You have been exposed to a fraudster and can write off the money. That was it. The End.

La

Are you sending something without receiving the money?

Quite stupid. Themselves to blame. And with the gift cards did the bank turn to you or the buyer? If it was the buyer, he probably wants to rip you off twice

Gu

The first time I sold something was stupid.

You're rid of the laptop, you'll never see your money.

Ta

This is a well-known scam, whether you have to pay a processing fee or otherwise.

You'll never get the money, you'll never see the laptop again.

If you pay the money, you have even made a double loss.

The bank does exist, but the emails are fake.

Learn from it and never ship before you have the money. Also, never pay any money to receive the transfer

Kh

That sounds like fraud.

Is the money in your account? What made you send the laptop?
