I just had a blatant problem. I just wanted to try something that should help someone else. It was about the language of Windows. Under Registry, Current User, Desktop, Language. The entry should read: de-US or us-US, but there was nothing. So I clicked OK and saw that something has disappeared on the right. Nothing more thought… Until then my notebook started to drop from 100 FPS to 0, until nothing worked. Restart, black screen. I didn't even get to my desktop through Safe Mode, it stayed black and my fan was spinning. Several attempts, several minutes waited, nothing worked. So tried restoration, of which luckily there were 2 points. The one from today, however, did not go, then an error message came. The other point was from February 12th and worked. Now everything works again and no data loss. Can someone tell me if this was really just because of this Reg. Entry? It seems like a little thing to me, but it has caused a lot of problems here. Would like to know what happened there. Hope someone can answer that for me. Of course, I'm guaranteed to stay away from it in the future!
Try the following. Start it in Safe Mode with Command Prompt. Then enter the following command there:
sfc / scannow
This will repair the operating system. When finished, restart the notebook. In most cases everything will go back to normal afterwards.
Thank you in advance. Everything is working again thanks to the system recovery. I would love to know if the registry entry caused this because I didn't do anything at the time.
That is possible.
