So I often use my gamming notebook as a workstation, which is why I always have it on the power for best performance

So with us it just thunderstorms with us I all connection say: Lan, ext. Moonitor, power supply disconnected

Lo

The chance that lightning will strike us is very slim.

The chance that a device would break down with us is semi-slim.

Any damage is covered by the household items.

Greetings go out to my printer, which is half exploded (without joke), while I gambled at the desk 50 cm next to my printer and a flash struck. XD

Everything is on a power strip with surge protection and the house has a lightning rod. If it crashes is not that bad, something new is bought. I have backups and hardware is material and replaceable, possibly covered by insurance.

Don't actually stake anything. Appropriate lightning protection sockets / strips are available. And everything that is router / laptop / NAS / printer is intercepted by the UPS again.

I have a gaming PC with a UPS.
If the power fails for a short time, I don't notice it.
If longer, then I switch off normally.

When the thunderstorm is very violent, I usually switch off and take everything off the grid, which is too dangerous.

I live in the country, and the thunderstorms can get really strong, and short power outages are also quite common, which is why the UPS.

Lo

So I'm not assuming that there's good internet in the country, but power outages are new to me even in the country

Gr

I had a thunderstorm just a few hours ago, and a power outage that lasted several seconds.
Intercepted the UPS very well.

Not only that, also television and other devices when the thunderstorm is very close
