I picked up my repaired laptop the day before yesterday, it is quite old and did not start up at all.
Yesterday everything was fine, everything started up etc. After that I was asked how I would like the Explorer Internet setting and I think I typed / selected something wrong or overlooked something and turned off the laptop too quickly.
But now I can't open anything anymore - not only the Explorer, also the folder "own files" or the Windows field for restarting / shutting down etc. Quasi the whole bottom bar does not react. (My laptop is 10 years old or older, Windows 7 is on it, I mean from VAIO)
I have already tried to search for the "explorer" file using Ctrl, Shift and Esc, but this operation is not allowed. (This was the first suggestion on the Internet) Now I wanted to ask if there are other ways
What else can I do to delete or revise the settings from yesterday?
Win + r then enter cmd and run
this is a program with which you can execute commands
then enter TASKKILL / F / I'm Explorer.exe and press Enter.
This forces the Explorer to close.
And then type in cmd Explorer.exe and press Enter.
If that does not work, the factory settings may be.
I'm sorry. But what is "a" and "cmd"?
So press the Win key, the Win key plus the R key at the same time, then a window appears where you should enter "cmd" and execute it, then a black program opens where you can execute commands.
Maybe this will help you:
Okey thanks! Just tried. A field opens, but this is the old familiar with the 3 suggestions because the program does not load / work. Do you have another way?
I don't quite understand what you mean, have you tried what I said?
Factory settings or take a very precise look on YouTube and so on.
