My laptop made an update a few days ago and since then the RST service is not working anymore. This slows down my laptop. Can someone tell me how to get it up and running again? The best without the need to get an expert.
You only need the complete software if the disks are running in RAID. Otherwise only the driver, which is installed via the device manager by updating. But then only if the system is running in AHCI mode.
You might have to install the driver currently or update via the device manager.
I definitely know what you mean now. Would net whom you explain it to me once again for stupid. Not meant bad
The solution should be: Go to the Control Panel and look under Programs uninstall. There are the Intel Rapid Storage drivers to uninstall and the system is restarted. This should be the error message gone.
If there are problems with the installation, there's read feed in http://answers.microsoft.com/...f9b?page=2. In http://answers.microsoft.com/...2872460213 a user LINDIRR gives a few hints:
1. Download F6flpy-x86.zip or f6flpy-x64.zip (compatible with the 32 or 64 bit operating system) and SetupRST.exe.
2. Then unpack the files and right-click the * .inf files in the unpacked ZIP folder and select the context menu command Install.
3. Then restart Windows and subsequently run the file SetupRST.exe. It takes a few minutes for the setup to finish.
Now the computer has to be restarted one more time and the Intel RST service should work now. Maybe it will help.
