I bought and set up a new notebook today. From the beginning, it required entering the password of my Microsoft account when I restarted. But since I do not prefer password protection, I looked online for instructions and followed them: https://answers.microsoft.com/...%C3%BCcken.
However, when I restart, I now have two (!) Accounts of the same name, one of which I can't even get into, so the only password I entered into this notebook today is "wrong". I first have to select the other account on the left and log in again with a password (but come in).
How do I get rid of this second account that I can't even get into?
Log in as administrator on the computer, with this user you can then administer and delete users.
I'm logged in as admin. Nowhere in the settings can I see this second account. It only appears on the lock screen on the left edge
What is in the user accounts?
@ maexchen1999 just my account. But since both accounts have the exact same name… Should both also be there? But they don't
Sounds very strange. Before you play around for a long time, I would simply reset the laptop, because after you bought it only today, not much will be installed anyway. This will solve the problem by itself.
Problem solved: The problem was the Microsoft account. I replaced it with a local account and now I have no password to boot up. And only one profile
