Videos uploaded by Dropbox are of poor quality. What to do?

I have a problem downloading the Dropbox videos. My colleague has sent me videos that we have shot. When I open this in Dropbox, it works normally. But when I upload to my laptop, then the videos (recording) stops, although the conversation can be heard. Does anyone have any idea how to upload the videos on the laptop without errors?

The Dropbox is completely innocent.

If you save the video file to your laptop and then play that file, it should work fine with the VLC player.
