I downloaded Dropbox earlier, but I don't need it anymore and I would like to delete it. But somehow all my files are now linked. There was even the warning that if I somehow delete this in Dropbox that I would also delete it from my laptop. Can I simply uninstall Dropbox now or will all the files associated with it be deleted?
First of all, you should download all the data you have in the Dropbox directly to your PC and check whether they have actually arrived on the desktop. You can then delete the Dropbox.
