How can I record with the microphone in Audacity version 3.0?

Hi, I have the following problem. I downloaded the free version of audacity onto my laptop. I have the Audacity 3.0 version. Listening to the beat through headphones is possible but recording with the microphone is not possible. I've already tried it. I have a Rode nt1a and I want to start rap. How can I make the microphone work and I can record.

Microphone: Rode nt1a

Interface: Audient iD4

Headphones: DT 770 Pro

Look at the top left to see whether your microphone is selected as the recording source. It may be that the internal laptop microphone is set there by default.
