As I said, I have problems connecting my Alesis Nitro Mash kit to my win7 enterprise.
I connected my edrums and the laptop with a USB cable and still can't record sound on Audacity because he does not even recognize the drums. Under computer> open control panel> hardware and sound> sound it shows me the drums also nowhere. And under devices and printers, it reports with: unspecified the Alesis Nitro. Does anyone have any idea what to do?

Your drum module outputs only MIDI signals to USB. These are pure control commands. An appropriate software could use these control commands to output appropriate sounds.
If you do not want to address software with MIDI commands, but want to use the sound from your drum module, you could just connect the line-out from the drum module to the line-in of your computer. At the line-out of the drum module there's also a sound signal and not just an abstract control command.
So it is not possible with the usb on audacity to record the sounds?
And what should I buy then so I can record the e drums?
The sounds you know from your drum module, so you can't record via USB in Audacity. The MIDI commands that are transmitted via USB would first have to be assigned to a corresponding sound by a pure control command, which basically comes from a keyboard. But Audacity can't do that, as it only supports very limited MIDI functions. You would need extra software. You can even look at the software REAPER - There's also one or the other VST plug-in with the drum sounds via MIDI controlled and can be generated.
If you just want to record the sound directly from your drum module, you buy a Y-cable with two 1/4 "mono phone plugs on one side and a plug that fits into the aux-in of your PC; which will probably be a 3.5mm stereo jack.
Hi! If Karl Klammer is right, the USB port of this device is not intended for recording… At least not in the form you would like. Otherwise, this could also be a driver problem in Windows.
You probably will not be able to use the loudspeaker output on the LineIn of the computer because the signal may be too weak… It's the same with me. If you get a try on Abeer then you'll almost certainly have a monitoring problem, because the sound cards do not have enough power to play and hear at the same time… You'll play and hear the sound at time X later… That's called latency,
I recommend you buy an AudioUSB interface, e.g. Focusrite Starlet or Steinberg MK2 … Costs between 80 and 150 euro. Make sure latency-free monitoring is included, otherwise you will not be able to overhear.
On this small device you go from the MasterOut of the controller (jack probably) and from there via USB cable into the computer. Then set the USB part in Audacity as a sound source and off you go the Luzzy. So I do that. Greeting Don
In itself, but in my experience, the latencies in the games and monitoring then much too big, the onboard sound chips do not grab. I would advise to a good audio USB. Greeting
Yes, a sound solution with a proper ASIO driver is recommended if you want to do more than 'Jugend forscht'!
