Camera sharpness for Skype and Discord?

I have a small problem. I have a webcam with a very large angle on my laptop. But when I step back more than a meter from the camera, it feels like I can hardly be seen in the picture, because the camera records so much unnecessary stuff to my right and left.

Regarding the question: Is there a tool that enables me to set my camera more sharply or to zoom with the camera so that I can be more format-filling in video chats like on Skype or Discord?

Have you ever looked whether there's a menu in the driver of the camera where you can set it?

I have to honestly say, I have no idea where to find it.
