Learn to love reading?

I have read more than ten books in my life and I also enjoy reading. I do not hesitate to read a few books in between during school hours. However I want more…

I would not say that I'm a bookworm now, but I want to change that.

I only spend my time on my mobile phone, laptop or searching Netflix. And I do not like that. But I want to change that and study more books, which is not easy for me because I always read 10-15 pages (depending on how exciting the book is), put it aside and then read it a week later,

I always admire those people who start a new book every other day and tell you how great it is. I want to be like that too.

Can you give me tips or advice on how to get used to books?

Humans are habitual animals, changing habits, no matter which, takes time and is also relatively exhausting, especially at the beginning.

How old are you, if I may ask? Because the statement "I've read more than 10 books" is not revealing XD I'm 18 I can't count how many books I've read XD But the problem I read only irregularly, but probably has other reasons for me: Me I have some books open, but if I took them now, I would read until they are finished, and that would mean reading tomorrow morning or until I nod. And that's why I only read when I have a lot of time I do not have right now.

Read books that you really like, whichever they are.

You can also start a book with a girlfriend / friend, if you talk about it you will surely be driven on reading because you are not supposed to tell you anything (that's me anyway)

You can also get used to reading 10-15 pages every day, going to bed every night as an example is a good time. And you sleep better without the blue light of your cell phone, laptop and more.

Of course, you have to read something that interests you. Not just a bit, it really has to captivate you. Then you do not even notice how time passes and suddenly the story is over.

I asked some people why they like to read or why not. The Vielleser could often imagine the world very well based on the description and disappear mentally. I feel the same. A good book is better than a movie because you are not just a passive observer, as in the movie, but the story that can create characters and the landscape itself.

People who do not like reading have in my experience this property. You only see one text.

Maybe you just have not found the right book / genre for you.

I know some who are also interested in sharing with other people, for example in book clubs or on Instagram ("Bookstagram").

Many "casual readers" also like reading ranks, so you do not have to keep adjusting to a new world, but can experience new "adventures" or things in a familiar setting.

I myself read quite a bit, but there are always phases when I do not really come to read and prefer to let Netflix splash over me. If my cell phone is next to me, I can't really concentrate on a book, such things I would rather lay out for reading.

And just really read something that is fully interested and also written so that you can get into the story well.

But it does not have to be a Vielleser, reading is a beautiful hobby and it is great that you would like to read more, but I think it should be fun and not a compulsion.

Have fun anyway
