What should I do with sand in the laptop / fan?

Unfortunately, I carried my 1500 euro laptop in a bag with me, which my brother recently took to the beach. Now the fan is very loud and crunches, which of course causes me concern. If someone can give me some advice on what I can do best, I would be very grateful.

Cleaning or replacing the fan is the obvious solution.

Do you want to be a little more specific?

Re

Remove fan and blow through, while holding the bearing.

Am

Disassemble and clean, e.g. With compressed air or with cotton swabs + vacuum cleaner.

For most laptops you can unscrew the bottom. Make a sketch where each screw sits, they are often different lengths. Then clean with either compressed air or with cotton swabs + vacuum cleaner.

The heat sink does not have to be removed, but the dirt is probably between the fan and the radiator, so you have to then remove the fan.

Am

Omit / switch off laptop, screw on and carefully clean or shake

Thank you very much

To open your laptop you can often find videos on YouTube!

Relieves the cause immensely.

Well, it's pretty specific. Turn on, old fan out, new fan in, or Clean instead of replace.

Without knowing what a laptop is this is not specific.
