Laptop CPU at 90 ° ok?

Moo guys,

I recently got an acer predator helios 300 (2018). Has n i5-8300 processor. Well, when playing the laptop is already pretty hot. At cs: go z.B ~ 75 ° C and the maximum fans (which are really loud). With Assassin 'screed brotherhood (a game from 2011) the laptop will even ~ 83 ° C and again at maximum fans. At Assassin's creed Origins, the most demanding game I've ever had, the PC stays at ~ 93 °, and has already reached 98 °. I did not gamble it intensively, but only because of the temperatures 30 min played. Also with max fans.

Games like Minecraft, Hearts of Iron 4, and other, not demanding or well-optimized games are actually quite cool.

But now my real question: do I have to worry about that? Can I gamble intensely at 83 ° without my cpu taking any harm? How much is it okay and how can I play cooler?

90 ° are high, but will not diminish the lifespan, as if you have to worry that he will not hold until the next purchase. For 5-8 years he does it without problems.

Ok, thanks for the good news. But can I play something like AC origins at ~ 95 °, or is that too much? (I checked it out, the TJ on my processor is at 100 °, so I almost reached the TJ with 98 °)

Ja

Although these are very high temperatures - and this is particularly annoying in older games - but the CPU and GPU are designed to automatically reduce their performance, should the temperatures get too hot. Temperatures between 70 and 80 ° correspond to normal operating temperatures under load.

For example, you can counteract with a cooling pad (https://amzn.to/2LH2X6v). The things you get in almost every electronics market for little money and improve slightly with fans on the bottom of the cooling of the notebook.

If the CPU gets too hot, it'll clock itself down anyway. You can run a CPU completely without a cooler, then it just stops running at 200Mhz at 90 ° and shaft just so the desktop run smoothly. Do not worry. Intel CPUs are a bit warmer ^^

Ok ok I trust it

Okay thanks

The temperatures are already relatively high, but this is nothing unusual for a laptop.
A cooling pad can help lower the temperature a bit.

According to Intel, 100 ° C is no problem. See: https://ark.intel.com/...0-ghz.html

Thank you
