I'm going to buy 2 × 16GB of RAM.
I have an acer aspire 5 a515-52
Graphics: nvidia mx130
Ram: I have 4GB of RAM right now
The laptop is 2 years old
I wanted to use new ram because when I play fortnite with my friend it lagged mega and I get 10fps maximum 30 even on the worst setting!
Would it be enough if I had 32GB RAM to get to 60fps
Or do I have to buy a new graphic too.
I buy the one on amazone which you would recommend me to buy.
Upgrading a laptop is always such a thing. The options are very limited.
I do not assume that simply increasing your RAM will bring about the FPS increase you want in computer games. Apart from the fact that it may well be that this laptop does not support 2x16GB of memory (you should have a look).
Converting a laptop graphics card is actually not a real option, as these are usually permanently installed.
I would advise against upgrading a laptop from personal experience.
Because in a laptop there's e.g. No real graphics card but only an internal graphics unit that is very difficult to change
I checked and he takes 32gb ram
The thing is my dad doesn't allow me a pc or a better laptop
Of course, laptops can also have dedicated graphics units… He has one. But yes, they can't be exchanged because they are soldered.
For Fortnite or most computer games in general, however, the RAM is not that extremely important. 8GB or 16GB are really sufficient for most games.
Even so, you shouldn't expect a miracle. The noticeable differences will be marginal.
My Opinion: Don't upgrade the laptop. If anything to 8 GB of RAM. Please note, however, that most laptops use SODIMM RAM and look up to how much MHz RAM your laptop supports in order not to buy supposedly more expensive memory that has to clock lower than it could.
You are welcome to upgrade the RAM, but make sure that the standard fits and that the laptop also supports 32Gb. In any case, this will save you a bit of stuttering, but this can also be easily achieved with 16Gb, you don't need more. I would recommend simply buying a 16Gb stick and plugging it into the 4Gb. However, you won't get much more performance from it. That brings us to the graphics. The MX130 is very weak, it just can't keep up. In order to get better gaming performance, you will inevitably have to resort to cloud gaming (good internet assumption), an external GPU (probably not recommended for you) or a new device. You can't exchange the MX130 either, it is firmly soldered.
