So in advance: (Purchased as Windows 7, now upgraded to Windows 10) (Acer Aspire)
It is my Acer laptop from 2012 approx.
On the laptop under the keyboard there's a Radeon HD 6550M 1GB.
When I search for a graphics card in the search bar, it says I have an AMD Mobility Radeon HD 5000 Series, which confuses me a bit.
So now I have the problem that I can't even play a game like Minecraft. What I can't understand. The laptop is old, but back then it cost 900 euro. And I used to be able to play games like WoW and other Mmo's with no problems.
Could someone give me a tip? I really don't know anything about graphics cards and drivers.
What can I do that I can play games without having such stuttering, I mean such a graphic card must still have something on it. I don't expect to play Gta in full resolution, but rather something like wow in medium resolution. Thanks for your answers in advance. If you still need any information, just let me know.
You won't be able to do anything there. A lot has happened in the computer industry in the last 10 years.
Look here, this is a page where you can compare graphics cards:
https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/...762vsm7936
I already added an old Nvidia as a comparison, and it is really a thousand times better than your current one.
With the drivers you can't pull anything big either.
By the way, WOW is not the most graphic-intensive game, try setting the settings to low.
The last suggestion would be an external graphics card. You get a good one at the moment and connect it to your laptop (there are enough tutorials.)
Installed this driver?
