I have a notebook (Acer Aspire V3-772G-747a161TBDWakk) with 2 graphics cards and run it under Win 8.1. A fast graphics application and games (GeForce GTX 760M) and a slow onboard graphics card for Office, etc (hd graphics 4600).
When I open dxdiag, however, only the hd graphics 4600 is displayed. My GTX 760M does not show up anywhere. I find that strange…
In the Device Manager, the GTX 760M is listed as working. BE the latest driver installed.
Does anyone know why the GTX 760M is not listed under dxdiag?
In desktop mode, only the internal GK is active. The GTX 760 M is only switched on when the 3D accelerator requests the power. That's why dxdiag does not recognize it.
Many thanks for the answer.
