I'll soon buy a monitor with 144hz and the Acer Predator XB241Hbmipr.
Now I have a problem I have a gaming laptop that has only one HDMI port. And I would like to enjoy the 144hz to the fullest.
I've been informed on the Internet because there seems to be an adapter. Here is the link https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/delock-monitoradapter-hdmi-zu-displayport-12-dp-2450cm-data-video-adapter-5837502
Is that possible? Who would I reach the 144hz and g sync?
Gsync ONLY goes via displayport. Since this creates a connection similar to a USB connection - i. Not only data is sent to the screen but data is exchanged between both devices. Although the adapter has a USB port, but according to the description is only used for signal amplifiers - so should provide the power. That Gsync is not possible. I suppose that only the problem should be prevented here the Displayport suffers greatly from signal loss with longer cables (more than 2 meters becomes problematical at high resolutions and refresh rates).
Furthermore, you can achieve so synonymous no higher data rates because the limit is still the Hdmi output on the laptop - with the adapter you will, however, at least get a picture. Depending on the interface of the monitor (are different HDMI versions) but maybe only 60hz (i.d.r not more than 144 + @ full-hd).
So you would in my opinion with a simple adapter hdmi adapter to DP achieve the same result so 60-144hz (depending on the laptop hdmi interface) @ full-hd without gsync.
How can I find out what HDMI output I have on the laptop? Already googled and googled but found nothing. Laptop: HP OMEN 17-w252nz
Is ne 10xx nvidia card, as long as the laptop is similar to the desktops is the HDMI 2.0b - which theoretically enough bandwidth would have but completely does not matter because the laptop is already sufficient for said frame rates.
Would you rather buy a Neat computer before you buy expensive monitors. The monitor here is a waste of money for the system.
Fortnite is enough
No, it does not work and also the graphics card in your laptop is too weak.
Clearly there Fortnite, but not to 144fps. (except if you look ne wall in close.)
Play on low settings with 4: 3 over 144fps come about
But you are already clear that the monitor then 1920x1080p and 16: 9 has?
Yes you can change its resolution yes
But then you do not need the expensive monitor, that's exactly my point.
Yes, no matter I'll need it anyway for other games. It's not like I'm playing with my laptop all my life long
Can your laptop spend 144Hz at all?
Most laptops have the 144 Hz can also built a 144 Hz screen, otherwise this would make little sense.
According to HP, he only has HDMI.

And you do not miss a pacemaker for an old cow.
What do you want to torment the thing. Can you be satisfied that he plays light games.
Can't forget that there's only one Nvidia 1050 MOBILE installed. You can't compare them with a desktop variant.
My God, everything Tetris plays today is a gaming notebook. Sad times.
