Firefox can't be refreshed?

I just wanted to update Firefox. I also proceeded as it stands on the Internet. So: Help → about Firefox. Then there's always update failed, download the latest version. (I just downloaded Firefox 4 weeks ago)

If I then click on Update, I will be redirected to the Firefox site where Firefox should be ALONE again, although I already have it on my laptop.

Does anyone know how I can update Firefox so without having to download it again?

The right version? 32bit or 64 bit?

Can it be that you have a beta version installed?

That's called "Nightly Build," I think.

Otherwise, you're actually absolutely right with your actions.

Just download the latest version directly from Mozilla.

Then you simply install this full version over the already installed one.

Your user profile will be retained.

I had that kind of thing too. But it was already a long time ago.
