For a sale I would either sell without a hard drive or previously overwrite the hard drive, for example with https://dban.org/. In my opinion, a simple override with zeros is enough. But it will probably take a few hours depending on the hard disk capacity. I overwrote a 256 GB SSD in 25 minutes, HDDs take many times longer.
