Remove Team Fortress Lagg?

At the moment I'm playing Team Fortress 2 on my laptop, because that's pretty much the only game that works on my 9 year old laptop.

I have already set the graphics to very low, but the game still doesn't run smoothly. What else could I do that Team Fortress runs smoothly?

Ps. If you don't know the answer, maybe you know an online shooter game that might run on your laptop? (Csgo doesn't work either)
