Deleted photos from cell phone via PC?

We have a… Stupid problem.

Now my brother was clearing out his gallery on his cell phone. He connected it to the laptop and accidentally deleted a full (IMPORTANT) folder with images instead of an empty folder. Using a recovery app, we can no longer find any of the pictures on the mobile phone. They are also not in the laptop trash… Is there still a chance to save them, if so… How? 😅

As I said. Cell phone was connected to the laptop via USB. This was used to access the gallery and then the wrong folder was accidentally deleted.

There could be a possibility via the pre-installed gallery app on the smartphone.

Some gallery apps move deleted pictures to their own recycle bin, even if the pictures were deleted in another way. This can be done via an app or via the PC.

You could also try the preinstalled file manager.

It is important that the gallery / file manager is pre-installed, as only here can a strong connection to the operating system have taken place.
