Last year I started making my private tax returns using Aldi software. In the tax return, among other things, I have my laptop, which I need for studying scheduled. This is now amortized over the useful life (3 years); Immediate writing off is not possible due to the high price. My question would be whether I have to enter the laptop every year in the tax (until it is fully amortized) or whether the tax office deposited this in my master data. Does it matter to the question if I change the support software next year? For example, From Aldi to Lidl?
Of course you have to use the laptop every year in the tax collection. The engineer in the disposition does not know if you still have the laptop or use.
But do not forget the private share when calculating the depreciation - as a rule we assume 50 to 70% private use.
Which software you use, is up to your personal taste. Of course, if you change, you will have to re-enter the basic information, the new program will not do that.
