Why do some laptop charging cables have a round plastic eyelet?

I bought a new Asus Vivobook. The charging cable / power supply has a small round plastic eyelet on the cable. The plastic part can be pushed back and forth, but is firmly attached to the cable. What is the purpose of this part? (see image)

To clamp another cable that runs more or less parallel to it. That's less tangled cables.

That would also be my idea😆
