For about three days my Asus laptop does not work anymore. Until then, he ran without problems and made no sign of damage. When I wanted to start it recently, nothing happened. Have, as seen in the pictures, already removed the back and go to a troubleshooting. After removing the HDD, the drive, the DDR, the SSD and the battery, nothing has changed. I also tried to run the laptop without the battery and only with the AC adapter connected, unfortunately without success. Even the 3x10 seconds press of the start button was without success. Do you have a suggestion, what else could I try?
So it really lights ONLY the LED? Can you see if the fan rotates? If so, then I think times will have broken the screen cable from the fold on and off. If not, then I have no idea what that could be.
Looking at the other side of the motherboard?
Short circuit somewhere on the power supply would be realistic. The power LED probably depends on a different power supply than the cpu. Could be a liquid or foreign object, or a broken chip. I think in any case that the problem is most likely on the mainboard (in the worst case, the cpu could be completely over).
My first step would be to measure how much electricity he pulls out of the power supply when you turn it on. If he draws a significant current you would have to find the short circuit simply by the heat.
Has anything happened with it before the error has occurred? (Even a few days before that would be interesting)
With the laptop, nothing happened, it is usually stationary on my desk and does not come in contact with food or drinks. I have not looked at the back, so far I have not dared to, because I would not like to lose my (maybe existing) warranty, if he really has significant damage. Unfortunately, I do not have a power meter and therefore can't try this way.
Watch if the motniroakabel are verbuden
If you have a guarantee then send it in.
If only the LED lights up and nothing else happens, a rather heavy hardware damage is very obvious. Something is going wrong then.
If the device is older than 5 years, please think of the economy, which must flourish.
