I have an ASUS gaming laptop and I already had the problem that the laptop had slight lags. Why did it disappear after changing some settings, but unfortunately I do not know any anymore. Meanwhile, I have my laptop permanently connected to the electricity at the desk. For this I use a monitor connected to HDMI. Since I wanted to remove the dust behind the laptop and thereby raussteckte the power supply and plugged in again, I have the same problem again. Games are not running smoothly, opening a new tab in the browser is greatly delayed, searching for files in the file explorer is tedious, … Everything has such a long reaction time. My suggestion is that this has something to do with the energy options. Or with battery saving settings or something, I will not really find it. I have already tried to fix the problem by removing the battery and working in pure mains operation, but failed.
Maybe someone can help me…
Do you have the power saving mode?
Settings → Net Operation / Energy Saving → Advanced Energy Settings → Here you should select a power plan for optimal performance of the graphics / CPU etc is not limited, sometimes this plan is called "maximum performance".
