How do I enter the code on McAfee LiveSafe (get it for free)?

I bought a laptop a few months ago and got a free 1-year license for McAfee LiveSafe. However, I have not used the code yet, as the trial version was still running on this laptop and now it has expired. To be honest, I was too lazy to activate the 1-year license and now unfortunately have a virus. I still have the option to activate McAfee LiveSafe afterwards, but I do not know where to enter the code for it, because there's only the purchase on the internet, but I do not want to buy it, because I get the 1 year license for free have. Can someone possibly help me?
