I've been using the evernote program on my laptop for months. I always summarize books I have read in detail there. Very, very good program, there's a lot of work behind it and the thought just occurred to me what if my laptop breaks, then all the work was "in vain". I only use the normal version and don't pay any money for it but would be willing to pay because I think the "APP" is great. Can I somehow protect myself with an account in the event that my laptop eventually gives up the ghost and the data is not lost
Take a look here: https://help.evernote.com/hc/de/articles/209005557
I would then e.g. Copy to your Google Drive. To do this, you install the: https://www.raidrive.com/ With this you can set up Google Drive as a drive letter. Then the whole thing is more convenient.
If you then e.g. If you buy a new laptop or PC, you can reinstall Evernote on it and reload the backup copies on Evernote. Then you have everything again.
P.S. Evernote is also available for iPhone, iPad and Android devices.
Even with the free basic version, the notes are saved in the cloud by default, unless they are explicitly created as a local notebook and can be synchronized on two devices. In my opinion, the data backup is guaranteed.
If Evernote is so important to you (it is to me too…) and you want to use it synchronously on more than 2 devices, the 60 euro per year are not too much. You can probably even claim for tax purposes.
