Cheap but usable USB microphone?

Unfortunately I need a new microphone. But unfortunately I don't have the money for a decent one.
I tried a wireless bluetooth headset, it was cheap but the mic sounded horrible. Just so understandable, quiet and with a subtle background noise.

Of course I don't expect studio quality, but it should be better than my notebook microphone (which is unfortunately just like the headset).

There are already around 80 euro from Auna with a spider, table mount and pop protection:
https://www.amazon.de/...B071SFTG7G

But that would be with an XLR connection and I don't have a microphone amplifier. So would need a USB solution that is in a similar price-performance class.

Always come up with ideas, I absolutely need a solution!

Pr

Auna also has the 900b, costs similarly, I have that. There's also the 900s, the letter is just the color.

I don't find it really good now, but it's quite acceptable. In retrospect, I would have preferred to have a little more money in hand and got myself a rode podcaster usb or something… Or just xlr.

Because, remember, a microphone like this lasts for 10 years.

Ca

Since you don't want a Micro with XLR, I can't make you a specific suggestion.
I found mine by digging through various videos on Youtube that compare microphones. A Micro from Pronomic for 70 euro then turned out to be almost equivalent to a Rode NT1-A (which cost twice as much). Unfortunately it has XLR and so does the successor.

Look for Potcast Micros. These are mostly USB micros. Do not rely on tests in text form, but on audio samples.

Unfortunately, cheap USB micros often have a problem with a latent background noise.

Unfortunately, my hands are tied when it comes to the budget, otherwise I wouldn't go by the price, of course.

Hmm is the Auna 900b the predecessor of the MIC 920B?
Which one is better?

There are always so many wrong reviews.

I don't need 10 years, who knows what will be until then. Only has to last 1 year. The main thing is that it sounds clean.

Pr

Here is a comparison.

Well, that should mean buy yourself a good one and you will benefit for a long time.

Da

Well with XLR I would have the problem that I somehow have to get it to USB: -D Unless you have an idea for a cheap adapter / amplifier.

Unfortunately, I can't find anything under the "Potcast Micros" brand.

Yep, the background noise should at least be so quiet that it is hardly noticeable.

Ca

You don't connect a mixer to the microphone input of your sound card via USB but with a chinch to jack adapter.

Alternatively, an audio interface is also possible. This is nothing more than an external USB sound card with an XLR connection. Unfortunately, I can't tell you what the cheap things are for. At least in theory, they have the advantage that the quality is better because there's no risk of interference from line-related currents from onboard sound cards.
Try "cheap podcast microphones" on Google. I have several hits there. If you are interested in a special micro, then copy the name from the test and search for it on YouTube. For example "Tbone SC 440 USB test".
Normally you should then find what you are looking for.

According to the test, the Tbone SC 440 USB should only cost 50 euro and be relatively good.
But I just skimmed the test.

Da

According to YouTube, the Auna 900 should also be quite good as a USB.

Ca

Which one you choose is of course up to you.

Da

Hm, strange, why is the Auna 900B so significantly more expensive compared to the successor 920B on Amazon?

Pr

Well, because that's a different microphone. The 920 is just a cheaper micro.

Da

Hm, with pop protection and tripod even the Auna 920B will be too expensive.
I actually already looked at the cheap microphones under 50 euro on Amazon, but the description says something like "just as bad as my notebook micro, went back".
So anyone else an idea?
Because 69 euro for an Auna 920B was not possible in a pinch, but without pop protection and bracket, then unfortunately no longer because it was too expensive.
Unfortunately, I couldn't find the microphones from the video, where one of them was still quite acceptable.
Would buy a trash mic now too. So someone an idea, which is not that bad garbage in terms of sound? XD

Da

The alternative would be a used Auna 900B for 59 euro + pop protection + bracket. But I think I've now annoyed the seller a bit because I found 59 euro for a used device too expensive. Now he certainly doesn't want to sell it to me anymore xD
Is it a bad idea to buy a used one?

Pr

I don't use your pop protection on my microphone, btw. You don't really need it.

You want to record in a normal room. In that case, large-diameter condenser diaphragms like the auna and colleagues are NOT an option. The slightest noise (PC fan, door from the next room, cars passing by) will be heard on your recording. At home you use a dynamic microphone on an interface. Cheapest solution with a little bit of residual noise, but much better than USB microphones:

Micro AKG P5 for 36 euro, https://www.thomann.de/...ve_p5s.htm

Interface Behringer UMC22 for 40 euro.

GOOD XLR micro cable (e.g. From Cordial) around 10 euro depending on the length.

Tripod at 10 euro. Microclamp 4 euro, pop screen 10 euro

With 110 euro you have an acceptable quality. The microphone can be regulated, does not carry as much rubbish with it and the noise is kept within limits.

Recording software take the free Audacity. BEFORE the first recording in YT at "AudacityWorkshop" watch tutorial at no.

Have fun!
