Microphone hums and gets quieter when I touch Aux or USB connection?

The day before yesterday I briefly connected my box to my PC… Then I wanted to play and was advised by a friend that my USB microphone was buzzing loudly, after that I had changed the USB slot several times, other USB devices (keyboard mouse etc.) … Nothing helped,

After that I had unplugged the power plug from my Logitech steering wheel (was not connected to a PC via USB) … Then the noise was reduced by half… I then plugged it back in and connected to the PC via USB… It was only half as much Loud… When I unplugged the USB connector and the power plug was still in it, it was loud again… I reinstalled sound drivers… Nothing helped…

After a long time of troubleshooting I noticed that the noise became quieter when I touch the Aux output or the USB output and the closer I got to the microphone the quieter the noise became… When I was very close to the microphone the noise was almost gone, As soon as I moved away it got louder again and when I stopped touching the exit the noise was very loud again.

Have already tried earth but think that's not the problem… I held an auxiliary cable connected in my hand and went close to the micro again… I guess the trigger was the loudspeaker which is also operated with an extra power supply… Even if I have this I used it again… I tried it again and plugged an aux cable into the speaker box… The closer I got to the aux output of my PC with the aux cable, the quieter the noise… I tried it on my laptop because it worked… So it was the microphone Not…

I have now clamped an aux cable to a metallic object and then have my arm on it and have to get very close to the microphone… But that's not a permanent solution…

Sounds like a mass problem.

Li

What could I do about it?

Vi

Check the connector on the micro.

Li

But it also worked on another computer

Vi

Then your sound card could be the problem

Li

Ok thanks for the answer I look (accidentally clicked on not helpful)

Vi

Let me know if it was the sound card!

Li

Have a look… USB microphones are not connected to the sound card and have their own sound card built in. Do I have to go troubleshooting for the next time?

Unplug the network cable and all devices except the monitor, keyboard and mouse from the PC. If you use a television as a monitor, here too all cables (especially the antenna) pull out of power and that towards the PC.

When it's gone: classic humming bow (then you can see further).

If bugs are still there:

Sounds like a defective protective conductor (aka grounding) in the power supply of the PC.

Then there's some voltage on the housing due to the interference suppression capacitors in the power supply unit, which then easily leads to leakage currents.

When you touch the PC, you ground this tension away and the hum stops.

This error can be life-threatening if a defect occurs in the PC or a device connected to it, which ensures that full mains voltage is present on the housing.

Here you can see further.

Li

Already put out all devices. Nothing has changed… Think the latter could be the problem

Buy a phase tester (if you don't have one) and hold it to the back of the bare, unpainted housing of the PC while the humming problem occurs.

You have to touch the red button on the back (but not the PC!).

If the lamp in the phase tester lights up in any way (darken the room a bit and look closely because it is difficult to see in the bright one!), This indicates a serious problem in the power supply (power cable to the PC, extension cable or the electrical installation in the wall)

Li

Okey I think I even have another…

Housing is completely painted… Hope Aux or USB connection also work.

Will most likely be due to the power cable to the PC since I have already exchanged the extension…

As long as nothing is broken in the PC.

Li

So I didn't have a phase tester… Instead I used a multimeter and measured at several points on the housing and at different connections where the noise disappears as soon as I touch it and could not find any voltage on the housing

Li

So now I found out that it was luckily not my PC… I connected the microphone to my laptop again… It worked fine on battery power, but when I plugged it in the power plug, the noise was there (sounded a little different, my voice is no longer available understood… Different from the PC where my voice is quieter and the noise stops) … I then carried the laptop around the house and plugged it into every room… Always the same… Loud noise… So it is most likely due to the power supply… But where does the sudden come from Problem and how can I fix it… It's strange that it doesn't work in the whole house.

Li

Or maybe it's the mic
