Installing Windows on Linux without cd drive?

Br

Good day I have a laptop without a cd drive and on the Linux mint is installed now I need / but I need Windows 10 I also tried a lot but now I'm at the point where I no longer knows. I have already tried it in the operating system itself with the Iso that he can't open because I have no program for it if it should work I would be glad about a name of the program I have already tried with a Iso on a stick yes Also, such a PC on which I made the stick boot capable of my PC, it also works only I can't select the laptop in the BIOS that he boots on the stick first. If someone can help me, I would be very happy to receive an answer

Here is a link (I hope it works) where you will hopefully get enough information https://drive.google.com/...p=drivesdk

I have installed it so far only reversed… So just with (for me it was F12) the corresponding button when restarting the BIOS and then controlled via a bootable USB stick, the operating system on it, installed and set that I always wanted to be asked which Operating system should be booted.

Co

Which bootloader do you have? Grub?

sudo gedit / etc / default / grub

For grub_default, the number must be pure, which should load first.

Then

sudo grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg

Then

sudo update-grub

But I would first install Windows, then Linux. So you will not get shot up.

In any case, first of thanks to the quick replies to the other https://drive.google.com/...p=drivesdk here is a picture I hope you can take out more information and I just want to instarlliert Windows have not both in parallel

Thats is quite easy:

- install the program "WoeUSB" under Linux

-Windows 10 ISO from the side of Microsoft download

- take at least 8GB USB stick (all data will be lost!) and connect to the Linux PC

-with WoeUSB with the ISO from the USB stick create a Windows installation USB stick (the operation of WoeUSB is self-explanatory)

- As usual Windows 10 install (there are also bulky instructions on Youtube & co.)

Br

I use Linux for the first time how do I install the program I now have the zip or unzipped folder and then?

ch

What Linux distribution do you use? (Ubuntu, Linux Mint, Manjaro, …)

The installation is always a bit different. The .zip version is 99% the wrong (or too cumbersome)

Br

There's Linux mint 19.1 tessa on it

ch

Open the program "Terminal" and enter the following 2 commands:

sudo apt-add-repository ppa: tomtomtom / woeusb

(Enter password, yes it is normal that it is not displayed, such as asterisks or dots, press Enter again to confirm)

sudo apt install -y woeusb

Then the program WoeUSB is installed.

Br

Until then first thanks but the program is installed but it does not start synonymous have been restarted and shut down

ch

Open the terminal again and enter:

woeusb

on. Then something should be spent. What?
