Moin people,
So I use with my PC only Wi-Fi, because I simply no patch cable which must be at least 20m long, somehow through the apartment and the walls wants to pull and can.
I also use 2,4ghz, because my hardware currently does not allow 5ghz. Of my 59K always come to a maximum of 30K. This is probably due to the large distance. I also use a repeater. The only thing I connect with cable to my router, would be an old laptop, which also arrive as 50-57K, which is quite stable.
My question would be: Would the upgrade to 5ghz solve my problem so that no more 30K arrive but maybe even 50K?
Alternative solutions would also be pleasing.
5GHz can bring more speed, but doubling the frequency, which is half the wavelength, makes it less suitable for penetrating massive objects like walls. I would then use hardware that masters both, so a router with 2.4GHz and 5GHz and also a wireless card that can do both.
At a greater distance should not bring you 5 GHz.
Well explained.
If you do not want any losses, then only the cable remains.
I get with 5GHz from a Fritzbox over 200 megabits to my PC with such a card from Gigabyte.

However, the distance is only about 5 to a maximum of 10 meters, walls are in between, but doors are open.
I think no.
Why?
You write it is because of the distance. 5G does not have the same stable range as 2.4G.
Since you do not want to lay cables you should consider using DLAN (network over the socket).

Note: I hope you do NOT have a 56k modem (wire) .😂
