Minecraft on a new PC is only a demo version?

So I got minecraft for my birthday in 2020, I logged into my laptop, had my account, etc. Then I got a new laptop and tried to log in again, I reset my password and downloaded minecraft. Then I opened minecraft (launcher) and all of a sudden it said 'play demo version'. I then went back to the mojang site and wasted my coda to redeem because I thought that would fix the problem. But there was something like 'gift card has already been redeemed'. Does anyone have a solution, please?

So you re-downloaded Minecraft and then opened it? If so, you can change the versions below! By the little arrow down there!
