I have the following concern: I have a laptop from Sony and a printer from Canon. I got the printer as a gift and unfortunately no instructions, packaging etc. I would like to connect these two devices and I also have the necessary cable. Only I don't really know what I have to do on my PC so that both parts "connect" so to speak. Everything I enter is not enough for the PC or it is "wrong".
Would be great if someone could help me! I would be very happy about it, so that I can finally use the printer and it is not just useless in the area… 😅
You have to add your printer as a network printer under "Devices and Printers".
Otherwise, find the printer's manual on the Internet.
Add your printer as a network printer under Devices and Printers in the settings or if it is a printer that works with cables, simply plug in the cable
