Hi

I still have a Dell Vostro 1000 and wanted to ask what the best processor for this laptop is.

It would also be possible to upgrade to 4 GB of RAM because it currently has 3 GB in it.

Not worth upgrading that. For 50-100 euro there are much better latops with Sandy Bridge CPUs and 4-8GB ram.
