I would like to connect my Acer Aspire 5 A515-52G-53PU to the Dell docking station WD19 via USB-C in order to use two monitors (from Acer & Dell) via DisplayPort (each from the docking station to the monitor).
The docking station is actually running because we have set up a USB "bridge" to one of our monitors and it works. Even so, both monitors claim that they are not receiving a DisplayPort signal.
Does anyone know what might be the problem?
There can be many reasons for this on the one hand, an available USB type c port is not a one hundred percent guarantee that it is also connected to the graphics card, on the other hand, it may have something to do with it that is actually a docking station for dell is currently dell is something of its own here and is building like to block a here sometimes so you often only recognize original Dell power supplies and do not release the full power with noname power supply
But we tested it with a Lenovo ThinkPad and it worked.
Then why not with the Acer notebook?
Are you sure that the Acer can even output images via USB type c?
I don't know exactly.
