I have two monitors in front of me.
I already know how to connect the docking station to the two monitors.
What makes me still a little stomachache is how I connect my laptop with the docking station.
I own the following laptop: https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/medion-erazer-x7851-1730-full-hd-intel-core-i7-7700hq-16gb-ssd-hdd-notebook-6191315
The following docking stations were recommended to me by the support on my request: https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/lenovo-usb-30-docking-hdmi-displayport-usb-20-usb-30-lanrj45-dockingstation-5646701?supplier=406802&tagIds=614-616
I would like to get the following monitor 2x: https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/asus-vg248qe-24-1920-x-1080-pixels-monitor-407914?supplier=406802&tagIds=77-624
The support staff has told me that the connection from the laptop to the docking station with a USB 3.0 cable can be made, but I do not know if by this way (via USB 3.0 cable) my laptop with power is supplied?
Can anyone explain to me? Do not I have to connect any other cable to the laptop?
I would be very happy to receive a detailed / understandable answer, because I want to get these two monitors as soon as possible.
As far as I can see this, the station is connected via USb-C cable. Now there are 2 possibilities:
This expensive docking station
Ne cheap station for so r.a 10-20 euro or a usb-c to hdmi cable
Connections
USB 2.0 standard A female 2 x
USB 3.0 standard A female 2 x
USB 3.0 standard B socket 1 x
RJ45 / LAN port 1 x
Microphone / Headphone Combo Yes
Normally you would need a USB-C port for that, if I'm well informed. At least we only use docks with a USB port. In the description I do not see the "C" connection explicitly. I can be wrong, but I would be skeptical here and would catch in doubt again, I mean it's 160 bugs…
Here explicitly USB-C would be listed…

The ThinkPad USB-C Dock is a universal docking solution that lets you work more productively. It provides full connectivity to monitors, external storage, and wired network while powering your notebook through a rugged USB Type C connector.
Oh is that there? Sorry, I had overlooked that…
I have externally inquired on YT and the like
Yes, but it is just exactly with his model nothing from USB-C, so I would be skeptical now… I posted the other as a link above, there's something extra…
Yes that's good, but if you want to spend 200 euro or 20 euro for a similar quality
Wait, his question was, if then his notebook is loaded and that is so, as I see it, not possible. The USB-C is about 30 euro more expensive…
Oh, yes, I have not seen, I'm sorry
So with us the laptops run with it.
Also goes via USB 3.0, with us all Lenovo running through this dock without extra power.
