Dear Community,
I own a Dell Latitude 5580 notebook.
The notebook was delivered with a 65 W power supply 2 years ago.
This is now broken.
When looking for a replacement, I found a power supply unit with 90 W on the manufacturer's website, input and output values match the old power adapter.
My laptop model is also listed there under Compatibility.

Since I can't reach the support, I hope for your expertise.
Can I use the 90 W power adapter listed above?
I can't find the old one with 65 w on the web at the moment.
If the manufacturer lists the part as an accessory for your laptop, it works.
If not, you can always send the power adapter back.
That just means that with 90 kW it can deliver a greater output if required. From that point on, you can take that.
KW or W?
Um, I made a mistake in that question 😉
Think it's clear what is meant.
KW is kilowatt, you mean watt
Yes, embarrassing mistake.
I just corrected it
The other way around it wouldn't work if the power supply only had 30 watts. Then it would be too stressed. You just have to see that the plugs fit, or adapters.
OK.
Can take.
I don't even pay much attention to the wattage.
Now on to the output from the NT.
What's the difference?
