Install laptop components in the PC?

Since the processor of my HP Elitebook 2570p has reached its limits, I would like to buy a used DELL Optiplex.

The laptop has 2 x 500 GB Samsung EVO 850 SSD and 2 x 8 GB Ram bars.

I would like to install these parts in the Optiplex, is that possible? For the RAM bar I would need a DIMM adapter, does anyone have experience? And with the hard drives, I don't know whether they would fit in a PC (only had laptops for ages).

The Optiplex is probably available as a Tower, SFF and USFF. Do I also have to pay attention to the size of the chassis when choosing? Didn't see any real differences, at least not between Tower and SFF.

So the hard drive should work but not Ram and other things

The SSD's are in 2.5 inch format and probably have their own place in the PC. If this is not the case, a 2.5 to 3.5 inch rail can be used here. Adapting SO-DIMM to DIMM is possible, but a pretty nerve-wracking trip. In addition, the clock rate and lugs of the Rigel are usually lower / higher. I would advise you to sell the bars on eBay and then use that money to buy new RAM.

I have no experience with the RAM, the hard drives can of course be used.

I would just sell the RAM or sell the laptop.

Thank you guys, I have ordered the Optiplex now and will do it as suggested!
