Good laptop for the university?

I'm looking for a student laptop with Windows 10, it should have a 13-inch display, be light and have a good battery life. A good keyboard would be an advantage. It should mainly be used for Word Powerpoint Youtube Netflix OneNote and for Windows Explorer. Do you have any recommendations? Or a tablet?

Take a look at the Thinkpad L13 Yoga: https://www.campuspoint.de/lenovocampus-thinkpad-l13-yoga-20r6s00800.html

Is the successor to the Thinkpad L390 Yoga. Here is a test: https://nbreview.de/thinkpad-l13-yoga/

If you study something that has a lot to do with computers. (e.g. Computer science). Then no tablet is enough, then I would e.g. B. Recommend Mac Book Air. If you study something else and therefore only need it for Word, Office, then take an iPad with a pen and keyboard. It is also very good for notes for order etc.

I do not recommend overpriced Apple products, but of course they are bought enough. As for a tablet, I don't know how to work properly with it, but it's probably a matter of taste. Ultimately, you have to know for yourself whether you'd rather have a laptop or a tablet. And whether the device should be from Apple or from another manufacturer such as ASUS, Lenovo, HP etc. Alternatively, there are also laptops with touch function.

As far as the hardware is concerned, I would buy a device with an Intel Core i3 or alternatively AMD Ryzen 3 for office use. In addition, at least 4 GB RAM and an SSD. An SSD also provides a decent speed boost compared to an HDD. With smaller devices, however, you often have to dig deeper into your pocket. The selection there's also significantly smaller compared to devices from 15.6 inches.

If 14 inches are fine, I would have a Lenovo device ready for 450 euro: https://www.notebooksbilliger.de/...wge+637837

It is a 14-inch device with a full HD display. An AMD Ryzen 3 3200U, 8 GB RAM and a 256 GB SSD are installed. The battery life is up to 8 hours. Windows is already preinstalled, but Windows 10 S. Here, as far as I know, you can only use Edge as a browser. You could buy a license for Windows 10 Home or Pro for around 10-15 euro.

With 13-inch devices, the selection is not so exhilarating. It starts from around 550 - 600 euro. At least I didn't find anything below it.

For example, for 600 euro there would be the following device from Lenovo: https://www.cyberport.de/?DEEP=1C31-3K7

It is a 13.3-inch device with a full HD display. Instead of a Ryzen 3 3200U, an Intel Core i5-8265U is installed here, which has even more performance that you don't actually need. But I did not find a 13-inch device with the Intel Core i3 or AMD Ryzen 3 that I recommended to you. But then more performance would not be a thing. 8 GB of RAM and a 256 GB SSD are also installed here. Windows 10 Home is preinstalled and the battery life is 8 hours, as in the other devices.

I think you would also get along well with 14 inches. I would not necessarily accept the surcharge for a slightly smaller device. The 14-inch device has only good reviews on notebook cheaper, as you can see. It doesn't look bad here either: https://www.notebookcheck.net/...050.0.html (not the exact model, but a similar one)

And if a touch function is desired, here would be a device for 550 euro from ASUS: https://www.notebooksbilliger.de/...82t+642679

14-inch, full HD display, Intel Core i3-8145U, 8 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD, Windows 10 S, battery life up to 9 hours. The processor would also be more powerful than a Ryzen 3 3200U, but both a Ryzen 3 3200U and an i3-8145U will do the trick. The decisive point for you is basically only the touch function if necessary.

Anyone who buys MacBooks has a damage. Too expensive, no compatibility with anything, if there are problems you have to send them in, on the one hand hardly anyone can help and on the other hand you can't do anything about the hardware. With laptops you can replace the hard drive and some chips if something is wrong. Everyone knows Windows and you can solve many problems yourself. In addition, almost everything runs on Windows when it comes to programs. On Mac, the selection is much smaller.

Laptops are of course available in many versions. If you are interested in a convertible, you can use it like a tablet or as a laptop, then there are those that should fit you for about 450-500 euro

MacBook is only unnecessarily overpriced. You would also make a bad buy in IT. I studied computer science and did an apprenticeship, because you only use Windows, because everything runs on Windows and only a few programs on Mac.

An iPad is too expensive, for the price you can get a smart laptop that is faster and can do more.
