Laptop hangs when resetting? - 1

Since my laptop is very, very slow and I had nothing to lose, I decided to reset it. But now it has stayed at 26% for over an hour. Should I keep waiting or try something else?

I had it very often that the PC got stuck at 15 or 20% and then a jump to 50 or 70% or higher makes it freeze is only because the CPU or RAM is so heavily loaded or the hard drive is so heavily loaded that the then the screen displays can no longer calculate I have an Asus laptop with an I3 350 inside which also takes about 2 to 3 hours but the duration can always depend on the file carrier and the size and if the HDD is defragmented and of course how well it is on the CPU
