I would like to expand my basic knowledge of computers, I would also like to do it in the form of YouTube tutorials or the like, but I don't really know how I can best find what I want.
It is not about learning to use a computer because I have no problems (by the way, I'm in my early 30s). I'm fit on the Internet, know how to edit which files, what a firewall is, etc.
What I want to learn is the FUNCTIONALITY of the computer itself: what is the difference between RAM and system memory, how can I judge whether my graphics card is good, how can I find out what files are hidden behind all the cryptic abbreviations, which programs can I safely throw down from my laptop without affecting the (Windows) system… And certainly a lot of other questions that I just can't think of.
Of course, I don't expect to become a computer scientist with a few tutorials, but it would be nice to master at least a few basics. Do you have tips for pages, videos, literature etc. With which I could start?
Practice, practice and try 😎
When I started with PC there were no tutorials and I was happy to shoot my PC several times a day and I don't remember how often I set up new operating systems 😎
YouTube videos watch e.g. Morpheus or Linus Tech Tips
Oha - there's a lot of material.
Especially when it comes to this topic, you can't avoid the beginnings of computer technology, since these computers are sometimes easier to understand and also form the basic principles for today's computers.
So - there would be B. All broadcasts of the WDR computer club:
Respectively. Its successor the ComputerClub 2: https://www.youtube.com/...erclubzwei
You would have to click through the topics that are of particular interest to you. There's a lot of material there - but hey, you also asked a lot of topics. 😉
