Enable ink in Word 2016?

I have a Wacom graphics tablet and would like to use it to write in a Word document. This function is available on a modern tablet, but all of the symbols for "drawing", "freehand", etc. Are grayed out so that I can't use them. Is there a trick I can still do?

I use Word 2016 on my laptop with Windows 10. The graphics tablet is the Bamboo CTH-670

When the Advanced option is checked, the Draw button is displayed:

It may well be that, unfortunately, Office 365 is meant.
