Can you set Windows Media Player to listen to music while the laptop is closed? Mine has a quirks and hangs up if you do not move the mouse from time to time. And if I'm lying on the bed, reading and listening to music, it's a bit corrosive.
So if that works, how do you set it?
Take a macro instead and move the mouse. A macro is a record of your mouse movement. You can play in the loop. Returns freeware for it

There you would have to adjust in the control panel in the power options that nothing should be done when the device is collapsed. It then keeps running and does not go into standby. And best of all, completely shut off standby if that causes the unit to crash.
Standby does not crash. This only happens when the screen is running without the mouse being moved regularly, e.g. Watch the movie. That's pretty annoying
