No microphone input from a laptop?

I have completely no microphone input from my headset anymore (ie everything I say "does not get through" or the level does not work) but the headphones work perfectly (especially noticeable in the team peak) … The headset works on the ps4 and also perfect on the cell phone… How can that be fixed?

Your laptop driver may have problems with the microphone adapter. Enter "Device Manager" in the search (Cortana for Windows) and click on the icon at the top of the bar where a PC can be seen with a magnifying glass. Then the laptop searches for changed hardware. This only works on Windows.

Unfortunately it didn't work… I have already asked various "PC experts" in my circle of acquaintances who also have no idea… I'm totally annoyed xD
