How close can a laptop be to a mobile induction plate?

ma

How do you get such a question?

Induction plates radiate upwards. So unless your laptop is sitting above the plate, everything should stay in order.

Fo

It can even be on it.

Bi

Just try it out

An

Counter question: How close can you be?

I suspect that with the induction plate you mean the wireless charging of a cell phone and co. If so, it can even be on the laptop, it doesn't matter. There are laptops with an integrated Qi plate.

gi

I mean one for cooking

You can put a water pot on it and after a while it bubbles

Al

As long as you don't put it on the plate, nothing should happen. In the housing of an induction hot plate there's also a board with a lot of electronics. It is installed directly under the actual coil and does not break away.

Possibly. Can you, as with another plate, keep a minimum distance of about 10cm, so that e.g. No boiling water spills onto the laptop.

An

Oh you mean an induction plate with which you can cook, 😉

Well, if this is in operation, the magnetic rays don't matter to a laptop. Well, if you cook sauce or greasy, I would put it further away. I personally don't like a greasy or dirty keyboard or screen 🙂

gi

Even when it's on?

gi

The induction plate does not have an SSD

Fo

Also then.

You didn't ask about the consequences.

Al

But the induction plate has built-in microcontrollers that control the display, buttons and pulses for the coil. Microcontrollers also use flash or EEPROM memory, i.e. The same technology as an SSD.

The technology of SSDs is generally less sensitive to magnetism than the old HDDs, but even they are so shielded that they shouldn't be damaged.

At most with floppy disks, floppy disks, tapes or e.g. Credit cards should be kept a little further away from the induction plate.
