Is Microsoft Office already installed on the Microsoft laptops or do you have to buy it?

I think you can see the question in the heading.

I'm currently thinking about buying a laptop and absolutely need MS Office.

Of course, would be useful if MS has already installed its programs.

If someone can suggest alternative or other products, I would be very grateful.

PS: I mainly need a fast laptop, because I don't know what to watch out for, I trust you experts now.

MS Office is mostly pre-installed and is available as a trial version (think 30 days) afterwards you have to buy it if you want to continue using it.

this version is not time-bound, the others usually only have a 1 year license

alternatively you can use Libre Office, it's almost the same and it's free

For Microsoft products also only available as for 30 days?

Of course, would be useful if MS has already installed its programs.

Microsoft Office is not preinstalled on new devices; In the start menu there's only a shortcut that allows Office to be reloaded quickly. Furthermore, the link serves as a link to the online offer of Office 365. The Office Suite is not free of charge and must be purchased separately.

A license or subscription is required for permanent use. Either you use a time-limited subscription to Office 365 or you buy a license for any version of Office. Be it Microsoft Office 2010, 2016 or 2919.

If someone can suggest alternative or other products, I would be very grateful.

There have been useful alternatives for a long time that are in no way inferior to Microsoft's paid Office Suite. Above all, I can recommend the free LibreOffice. The range of functions is at least identical in the basic functions and the free Office Suite is actually sufficient for private use.

Well they will never give it to you most of the time

Then the license key on the bottom of the device is removed and destroyed.

For about 10 years, product keys have not been passed on to end customers at all, but have been stored directly in the UEFI.

Everything important and Libre Office is preinstalled free of charge. Saved money and a lot of trouble.

If Linux, then "from scratch". At least as far as software is concerned. Even at Linux Distros, I went wild on the imaginary sack when packages were installed that I didn't even need. Arch, i love it!

But in the end everyone has to know whether they want to be spied on by MS Windoof or not.

I don't think of it any more than you do and now mostly work with Linux. Nevertheless, spying on Windows is not opening the Pandoras box. Anyway, it's good that you mention it.

Now I almost go under that you are looking for a notebook. So you should know how much you want to spend.

Office should be on it, you can get that through the internet

What is important is a beautiful display FullHD, 17.3 "

Min. 8GB main memory

min 512 GB SSD

Wi-Fi & Bluetooth

long battery life, right?

You could find something here, they are very well positioned

What you want to spend is of course also important.

If you have any questions, just write them in a comment and I'll get a message.

Hi, you have to buy office officially.

I have installed a 98zeger. Runs wonderfully. There are still updates.

I got this version reasonably cheap, if not free.

Office usually costs 300 euro.

As a student… A lot cheaper. But Microsoft wants to see a pupil, student ID. Can't be that hard to get.

And. Mine is free. But Microsoft has made some money.

I think differently now than when I was a student without a penny.

Give Microsoft a call. Student version. You can pay for that too.
