I have a problem with my Csgo:
I keep getting a fps drop to about 20 fps for about half a minute (now every 2 minutes, not so often before). This of course makes the game unplayable during the drops. Otherwise I went through 60 fps. By the way, my laptop is older.
Specs:
nVidia gt 540m (overclocked to 780mhz)
4gb ram ddr3
Inter i7 2630sqm
Do you have any programs open in the background? They can slow down the PC over time. Also in the task manager watch which programs start automatically.
Try to clear the cache on your laptop and defragment the entire hard drive. And you should turn off unnecessary details like shadows
Can you completely turn off the shadows? If yes how?
In the auto start is not noticeable
Whatever helps is turning the computer off that solves all problems on a computer.
Because where no system is running, there can be no problems.
Wisdom of the day!
Thanks for the tip, changed my life!
Fun on the side Trying to clean up your system means clearing the cache. Task managers delete unnecessary services in the background. If all of this doesn't help, back up data and then get Windows up.
Otherwise you mentioned that your computer is a bit older, I can imagine that there may be dust on the fan, which means that the processor is no longer properly cooled. By playing everything heats up more and the fan can no longer cool properly so that no damage is caused, the computer throttles the performance so that no further heat development can take place. What your FPS drops can do.
Only recently reset windows (aslo not completely reinstalled)
And I also dusted off my PC six months ago. But can try again1
