PowerPoint does not open downloaded files. What to do?

So I have the following problem:

I have the PowerPoint version 2010 and I just can't open original PowerPoint files or other ones that I have downloaded from the internet (ie email). This is extremely bad as I do group work and always have to take my mother's laptop, which she does not find so funny and I do not really, because it's just a permanent problem and I would like to solve it.

I do not understand what the problem is. At first it means that it has to fix the file and then there's always "error on access". I'm somehow too stupid to solve the problem myself and I do not understand it either. My mother has the same PowerPoint version on her laptop and also the same virus program (G-Data) (I've already thought about it) and it's always easy to open. If I draw the presentation from there on a USB stick and then connect it to my laptop and open the PowerPoint, then it works, too.

It sounds like the download or the downloaded file is quarantined right from the virus program.

Since G-Data is set incorrectly.

Which PowerPoint versions will be sent to you by e-mail? Which mail program do you use? Your problem is clearly with your computer with settings / restrictions, as you describe it, it can't really be due to the anti-virus program, because that would have to start synonymous, if you use the stick.
Before you set long settings back and forth - continue to use the stick. Gives u.U. More time to work. Oh, and PowerPoint can't be synonymous.
